What to expect
- • Net control opens the net with a preamble and call for emergency / priority traffic.
- • Stations are called for check-in (often alphabetically or by district).
- • Brief announcements: club news, swap & shop, upcoming events.
- • Round-table or topic discussion (time permitting).
- • Net control closes the net.
How to check in
- Wait for net control to ask for check-ins.
- Key up briefly and clearly state your callsign, name, and location.
- Listen — net control will acknowledge each station in turn.
- Have any traffic or announcements ready in a short, organized form.
New to nets? It's totally fine to listen for a few weeks first.
